Which cities are covered?
32 cities are mapped block by block — San Francisco and much of the Bay Area, New York, Los Angeles and the LA metro, Chicago, Boston and its neighbors, Seattle, and Washington DC. We list a city only once its curbs are actually mapped, so the map above is the whole list. The app always shows exactly what's covered where you are, and new cities arrive as data updates — no app update needed.
Where does the data come from?
Official public sources: city open-data portals, public-records requests we file ourselves (meter inventories, sign data, cleaning schedules, permit maps), municipal codes, and millions of anonymized public citation records that teach the app how enforcement really behaves.
How accurate is it?
We build from the same records cities use and audit against the street, and errors are designed to land on the cautious side. But cities change signs faster than any dataset — construction, events, temporary tow zones — so the posted sign always wins. If the app and the street disagree, trust the street and tell us; fixes ship to everyone without an app update.
What does it cost, and how do I cancel?
Your first 14 days are free with no card. After that, keep it with $4.99/month or $39.99/year — both start with 7 more free days before the first charge. Billing is handled by Apple — cancel anytime in iPhone Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Is it on Android?
Not yet — CurbScout launches iPhone-first. Android is on the roadmap: email us and we'll notify you the day it lands.
What about battery and location use?
CurbScout uses your location while you're using the app to find parking near you. With your permission it can also detect when you've parked and warn you before street cleaning — that "Always" access is optional, tuned to sip battery, and everything core works without it. You control both in iOS Settings at any time.
